Memes Flood The Internet After Lakers Take 3-1 Lead Over Nuggets

1 Min Read

Normally, when a team takes a 3-1 lead in an NBA playoff series, it’s all but a certainty that they’ll be moving on to the next round.

In the case of the Lakers, who have LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it seems almost disrespectful to imply they’d blow such a huge advantage.

However, considering the history of their current opponent (who came back to win a series down 3-1 two-straight times), it’s also important to consider the uniqueness of the situation.

Naturally, questions have been raised: will the Lakers win in five for their third straight series, or will Denver once again come back from a 3-1 deficit? Despite the former seeming much more likely, it didn’t stop people on Twitter from cracking jokes about it.

You can always count on NBA Twitter for a good time.

On a serious note, though, if anybody has a chance to come back from this it’s Denver. We’ve already seen them do it twice before, so we know this team doesn’t quit and we know how they play with their backs against the wall.

Now is not the time for the lakers to take their foot off the gas.
