Metta Sandiford-Artest Supports The Nets Creating A Superteam: “I’m Really Happy They Teamed Up Because If You Don’t Team Up In The NBA Good Luck Trying To Win A Title, Good Luck.”

Superteams are a controversial topic in the NBA. Ever since 2010, these teams have become a popular thing in the league. Whenever two or three stars team up in a franchise, the NBA community blasts them for trying to have an easier path to the championship.

This season, we’ll have two of these, the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. The two squads are expected to compete in next year’s NBA Finals, given all their firepower. While most people criticize both teams, others consider them smart for adding as much quality as possible.

Former Los Angeles Lakers champion Metta Sandiford-Artest talked with Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, admitting the Nets made a smart decision putting James Harden alongside Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant at Barclays Center.

“I’m really happy they teamed up because if you don’t team up in the NBA good luck trying to win a title, good luck. I don’t care what nobody says super teams are necessary. You just see what happened with the Lakers,

“Their roles are going to be the same. And I think those guys are just elite and they love basketball you know what I mean

“And you can just see the passion, I remember when I was I guess their age I guess when I was 32 I was still loving the game, playing the game, trying to win another title, everybody trying to win a title you know that’s it.”

This team has drawn mixed opinions around the league. While most people blast them for creating a superteam, others think they’re just doing what others did in the past. Still, the Nets couldn’t do the job last season, and nothing assures they will win this upcoming campaign.

If they come out of the East, though, most NBA fans hope to see them against the Lakers in the Finals. That would be a battle of exes and the ultimate duel of superteams in the association.
