Miles Bridges Wants To Play 1 On 1 Against Michael Jordan

2 Min Read

Speaking confidently on his abilities, a 52-year-old Michael Jordan spoke with France’s L’Equipe in 2015 and said (even in his current state) that he could beat his Hornets players one on one.

L’Equipe: Do you think you can play against some of your guys right now? Do you sometimes do that or not? Could you win on one-on-ones against them?

Jordan: I’m pretty sure I can, so I don’t want to do that and demolish their confidence. So I stay away from them, I let them think they’re good…but I’m too old to do that anyway.

That was years ago but in the light of “The Last Dance,” many have come to the conclusion that the same can still be said today. Despite his age and his time away from the game, people are more than willing to give MJ the benefit of the doubt against any of Charlotte’s current players.

In response to all of this, second-year forward Miles Bridges challenged MJ in a Tweet that has since gone viral.

Bridges probably won’t be getting that matchup but, if he did, it’d be interesting to see who’d win.

Michael Jordan is the GOAT and Bridges is no All-Star, but at 52-years old, it seems like a stretch to assume even Jordan could beat these young, athletic pro ballers.

But, hey, If we’ve learned anything about Jordan these past few weeks, its that he has a way of pulling off even the most daunting of tasks.
