James Harden has been on his China Tour this offseason in what seems to be a series of promotional events for Adidas. During this tour, he appeared for a short interview on internet streamer Lacy’s YouTube channel where he answered a few of the ‘Internet’s most asked questions’.

During his conversation with Lacy, Harden revealed that he is considering dipping his toes into the streaming world just like his former teammate Kyrie Irving. But instead of speaking to the public on a profound level directly, he wants to focus on streaming one video game that he plays: Call of Duty.

Lacy: “Do you know streamers or YouTubers like Flight or Kai?”

Harden: “I know Kai for sure.”

Lacy: “You know Faze Clan or not?”

Harden: “I met’em, but I never really like connected. But that’s like my next few months, that’s where I want to really tap into, you know?”

Lacy: “Streaming? The Internet?”

Harden: “Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Just because it’s like… yeah, it’ll be cool… I like playing Call of Duty a lot.”

Lacy: “That’s what I was going to ask next, do you play games?”

Harden: “So like, that’s the only game I really play.”

Lacy: “Yeah, CoD, so you don’t play 2K?”

Harden: “Uh-uh! (Declining by the nod of the head) I’m really in love with CoD. I can sit there and play for 8-10 hours a day.”

Lacy: “You play Warzone or multiplayer?”

Harden: “Resurgence. Multiplayer? Who plays that?”

Therefore, it is clear that Harden plans to follow the footsteps of his former teammate Kyrie Irving and enter the world of streaming this summer. But unlike Irving, who plays multiple games on his stream as well as interacts with different celebrities, Harden plans to only stream his Call of Duty gameplay.

Following his $81.5 million contract extension with the Clippers, Harden is spending his offseason clearly making plans to indulge in his different hobbies. He faced criticism about his fitness early in the offseason, but that hasn’t impeded his offseason plans to enjoy his vacation in China.

Harden appeared for multiple promotional events for Adidas in China and was met with thousands of fans crowding malls to see him. They also gave him a massive tribute by unveiling a full basketball court in China that was designed in his honor.

We seem to be days away from seeing James Harden potentially start his own YouTube page and Twitch page to stream his content live on the internet.
