The NBA has learned a lot from its mistakes in recent years, and they’re ready to make some changes to give the fans the best show they can offer. One of the biggest days of the season is the All-Star Game Day, but more fans are losing interest in this.

After the fiasco that the 2023 All-Star Game was, the league is reportedly trying to make some changes and see how the old format works now.

“The NBA is considering changing the All-Star Game format from the current Player Draft to Eastern vs. Western conference, among other concepts, sources tell. It has been topic of discussion at recent Board of Governor and GM meetings after this year’s ASG,” Shams Charania reports.

Given the lack of competitiveness displayed in the most recent All-Star Game, the league has vowed to make some changes and they could be implemented as soon as next season.

“NBA and NBPA agreed in recent months to have talks about increased competitiveness in the All-Star Game as part of new collective bargaining agreement, sources said. Changes could come for the 2023-24 season.”

This year, many fans and players were mad with the development of the game, especially with players putting no effort into stopping the opposition. Defense was absent from this event and every fan was upset with that.

Players also raised their voices against this, with Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jamal Murray among others giving their two pennies on this situation, explaining what can be done to fix the game or simply giving their opinion on why players don’t take the game seriously anymore.

There has been an interesting idea about making the game a duel between Team USA and Team World, but it seems like the league has different plans. It will be interesting to see how this works out, as the West is stacked in comparison to the East.
