LeBron James may retire from the NBA this summer. The King dropped hints about his potential retirement from the league after getting swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.
James averaged 24.5 PPG, 9.9 RPG, and 6.5 APG in the 2023 playoffs. Not bad for a 38-year-old by any means. On that note, an NBA fan on Twitter recently posted several pictures and videos to show how long LeBron James has been dominating the NBA.

The above-attached image is from LeBron James skill academy in 2007. It features several future stars in the league. DeMar DeRozan, DeMarcus Cousins, Kemba Walker, and Lance Stephenson are the most prominent future players in the image.
Walker, Cousins, and Stephenson are currently out of the NBA. It just goes to prove for how long the King has been one of the top players in the league. As for DeRozan, he is a prime target for the Los Angeles Lakers to add to their roster this summer.
Apart from this image from 2007, the fan on Twitter gave many more examples of how long LeBron has been a force to be reckoned with in the NBA.

These images and videos prove that we may never see a player with the longevity of LeBron James ever play in the NBA.
Even at 38 years old, he was undoubtedly the best player for the Lakers this season on most nights.
Will LeBron James Leave The Lakers This Summer?
Heading into the offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers have to deal with the possibility of LeBron James leaving the team, if not retiring.
A team insider recently revealed that there is about a 10% chance that the King doesn’t return to the team. He could either retire or demand a trade.
“Based on conversations I’ve had over the past week or so, I’d say there’s about a 10 percent chance LeBron James isn’t back as a Laker next season, either due to retirement or playing for another team. Everyone with and around the team I’ve spoken to believes he’s returning.”
James will turn 39 later this year. So, if he wants to hang his sneakers for good, it won’t be a surprise. There is a possibility that he retires for a year and then makes a comeback in 2024 to play with Bronny James.
Either way, fans do not have many years left of James’ dominance in the NBA. He is getting close to retiring with each passing season.
