The Denver Nuggets suffered an unexpected loss to the Miami Heat in Game 2, and there’s no doubt that they are now in a disadvantaged position in this Finals series. They have lost homecourt advantage and will need to win one on the road to avoid going down 3-1.

The Miami Heat may be the less talented team than the Denver Nuggets, but they have a much better defense and execute their game plan to perfection. Skip Bayless gushed about the Heat managing to win one on the road in Denver, even claiming that they would now win in six games.

“Well shut my mouth. The Heat did it again. When nobody gave ’em a shot, as 9-point ‘dogs vs a Denver that had not lost a playoff home game, they hung in then outshot the Nuggets in the 4th quarter. IT’S 1-1 GOING BACK TO MIAMI.”

“Heat in 6.”

There’s no doubt that the Miami Heat have put themselves in a good position to cause an upset. Still, knowing the Denver Nuggets’ high-powered offense, it is hard to imagine the Heat actually coming out on top in this series. However, anything can happen, and if the Miami Heat keep shooting well, they have a blueprint to win an NBA championship.

The Heat Don’t Care About How Others Perceive Them

There is no doubt that the Miami Heat’s mentality has been part of the reason they have been so successful. In fact, Jimmy Butler recently stated that the team is always who they are because they’re “not worried” about other teams.

“At the end of the day, that’s what we fall back on. Make or miss shots., we’re gonna be who we are because we’re not worried about anyone else. That’s how it’s been all year long and that’s not gonna change. That’s what I think it is, it is the ‘I don’t give a damn’ factor.”

The Miami Heat have made this a competitive series, and they will have the next two games at home. If they can keep up their 3PT shooting they can win the NBA Finals, and we’ll see what ends up happening for the rest of the series.
