Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers the NBA has ever seen. The level he plays at is something most players can only aspire to and his skillset is unique. Yet his career decisions mean he isn’t as well-loved as he might have been.

So a page recently asked NBA fans what first comes to mind when they see Kevin Durant and the answers were both varied and interesting.

“What is the first thing that comes to mind when you see KD?”, was the question. Here’s a look at some answers.

One fan got straight to the point, talking about Durant’s contributions to the Golden State Warriors: “The player that carried the Warriors to two Championships but doesn’t get enough credit for it.”

Another fan viewed it the exact opposite way, suggesting that Kevin Durant could never have won without the team around him: “Great great player who can’t win the big one without that 73-9 team.”

Kevin Durant despite being one of the best to ever do it, wasn’t drafted No. 1 overall. So it’s no surprise that a fan brought that up: “Portland should have drafted him first before Greg Oden.”

Kevin Durant is the best in the business at putting the ball in the bucket, as one of the comments noted: “This man is not missing any shots.”

And whether someone personally likes Kevin Durant or not, his game demands respect from anyone that calls themselves a basketball fan. And the next comment sums that up perfectly: “Compatible in any team and ever reliable to turn up if he steps on the court.”

Kevin Durant may not be the most popular player in the league, but his game is respected by everyone. He is due back for the Phoenix Suns soon, and there are those that think he might lead them to a championship.

Stephen A. Smith Says That Kevin Durant And The Suns Will Make The NBA Finals

The biggest criticism of Kevin Durant has been that he cannot win without the Golden State Warriors. But Stephen A. Smith seems to think he can put himself in a great position to do just that.

“I got [the Phoenix Suns] going to the Finals if KD is healthy,” said Smith. “If Kevin Durant is healthy, I believe he’s the best on the planet and I believe in Kevin Durant, one of the most efficient offensive superstars this game has ever seen.”

Kevin Durant has averaged 27.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game for his whole career, doing it with elite efficiency. He has nothing left to prove to anyone, but the answer to what first comes to mind about him might change if he can actually win it all with the Phoenix Suns this season.
