NBA fans love to engage in big debates on social media. This has become a common practice around the league circles and fans have embraced it, with some discussions getting incredibly heated depending on the topic.
The GOAT debate brings out the most intense emotions in fans, as everybody has a different opinion on this controversial subject. Moreover, hypothetical scenarios have drawn more and more attention among fans, including discussions about which group of players would win a 3-on-3, 4-on-4, or 5-on-5 game.
Besides this, we have the ‘start, bench, cut’ game. This consists of picking three current or former players and making fans select one to start a game, one to sit on the bench, and one that won’t be part of their team. Sometimes, the question is really tough, with some picking LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo for the game.
If that wasn’t enough, The Hoop Central came up with another big challenge, making fans select between Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

As usual, fans had strong opinions about this, explaining why they would pick any of these three legends based on their games, accolades and styles of play. Others, however, saw a chance to troll the rest and didn’t miss it.

As a Suns fan who had their dreams stomped out regularly by the Spurs?…
Start: Duncan
Bench: Kareem
Cut: Shaq
Duncan just didn't make mistakes and did everything his team needed of him.
Kareem should've been a Sun from the start FFS.
Shaq had no drive.

Start Duncan
Bench Kareem
Cut Shaq
First two youβll get consistency throughout their careers. Shaq will give you five good years, then show up to camp out of shape and try to start rap battles with everybody.

Start Kareem bench Shaq cut Duncan. He's not a center anyway. He's a power forward. Ask him.

Start one: Kareem all around game.
Bench one: Duncan all around game. could easily be the starter.
Cut one: Shaq. Canβt shoot free throws, mid range game just ok as long as it within 6ft or less. Didnβt mind being out of shape.
All 3 great rim protectors

These exercises are becoming more popular among fans, especially if you pick three players that did a lot during their careers and are considered three of the greatest to ever play the game.
It’s up to every person to select who will be a starter, who will come off the bench and who will be cut by the team, but it’s interesting to see why some people will go with certain players and why others will make a different decision.
