The modern-day NBA has many talented superstars, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson are among those, without a doubt.

Both stars have seen success in the NBA, but who is a greater all-time player between the two? Well, a fan on Reddit recently sparked a debate by asking this question. It’s an interesting debate since Klay indirectly blames Kyrie for the biggest regret of his life.

“Klay, because Kyrie will leave your team within three years unless you have LeBron James as your teammate,” a fan wrote.

“All I know is that Klay has the greatest hot hand of all time,” a fan praised Thompson.

“Multiple rings, top 3-5 shooter of all time, a great defensive player (Kyrie has never been that), and also your comment. Kyrie is not even close to Klay. This question is a whole a** joke,” a fan erupted on Reddit.

“Kyrie is obviously a better player, but Klay had the better career,” a fan pointed out.

“Klay, no question. Dude’s had bigger games, more big games, is a T-10 shooter ever, and has the record for points in a quarter,” a fan gave a conclusive answer to the debate.

“Kyrie is more skilled individually, but give me Klay as a number 2 for team building. Basically, Kyrie is a better individual player, and Klay is a better team player,” another fan said.

Most fans believe that Kyrie is undoubtedly more skilled than Klay. But when it comes to having more impact on the game and a better career in the league, Thompson became an easy winner for the fans.

Kyrie Irving vs. Klay Thompson: Who Has The Better Record?

Over the years, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson have locked horns against each other 28 times. In those games, Thompson has a 19-9 record over Irving.

Kyrie certainly has better stats than Thompson when the two stars have played against each other. Now, let’s take a look at their accolades.

Thompson has 4 NBA Championships, 2 All-NBA team selections, 1 All-Defensive team selection, and 5 NBA All-Star selections to his name. On the other hand, Irving has 1 NBA Championship, 3 All-NBA team selections, and 8 NBA All-Star selections. Kai was also the 2011-12 NBA Rookie of the Year.

All things considered, there is no doubt that Irving is a better individual player than Thompson, but the latter has had a better career in the league.
