At one point in his career, John Wall was regarded as one of the best players in his position. He was a regular name in the NBA All-Star game and was an enjoyable player to watch.

As a result, he was offered a humongous 4-year $170 million contract by the Washington Wizards. At the time, the contract made sense to most, but looking at it now, it is arguably one of the worst contracts in the history of the NBA.

Over the last few years, Wall has been consistently sidelined due to injuries. What’s more surprising is the fact that Wall has played fewer games than Dirk Nowitzki in the last five seasons, and Dirk has been retired for 3 years. So it wasn’t a surprise when the Wizards decided to trade Wall for Russell Westbrook.

The Rockets thought they were getting a new partnership between Wall and James Harden, but that wasn’t the case. Harden demanded a trade around that time, and Wall was left alone once again.

Anyway, when Harden left the team, Wall apparently claimed that he feels like he is now the franchise guy. But what happened after his claims? Well, an NBA fan recently pointed that out.

Yes, the Houston Rockets went on to lose 22 games in a row. For what it’s worth, Wall did have a great scoring run in that time span, but it wasn’t enough for the Rockets to win games. Upon seeing the stats again, NBA fans absolutely flamed Wall for his comments.

When a team is rebuilding, it’s understandable that they go on a losing streak. But losing 22 games in a row is simply too much.

Well, at least, Wall won’t be in that kind of situation for a while. It was recently reported that the Rockets have agreed to buy out his contract and he will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers soon.

He will be pairing up with the already awesome duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. But all three of them are injury prone and if the Clippers want to succeed, they need them to be healthy.
