NBA Fans React To A Drew League Player Trying To Block LeBron James: “He Made A Business Decision”

After a disappointing 2021-22 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers are trying to improve their roster in the offseason. But apart from signing a few role players, the Lakers haven’t made any huge acquisitions so far.

If anything, things are getting worse for the team. With rumors of LeBron James and Russell Westbrook going through an awkward and tense situation, only time will tell what the future holds for the Purple and Gold.

Amidst the chaos with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James made a surprise appearance in the Drew League last Saturday. It was the first time since 2011 James made an appearance in the pro-am basketball league.

Obviously, several fans lined up to play one of the best players in the history of the NBA. As expected, James didn’t disappoint and ended with 42 points and 16 rebounds to his name.

During the fixture, there were a plethora of memorable moments. Even at the age of 37 years old, James pulled off some great dunks during the game. But one dunk probably stands out the most to the fans.

The dunk featured James launching up while a Drew League player boldly decided to jump with him. But midway through his attempt, the player decided to back out and quite possibly saved himself from some embarrassment. Despite the failed attempt, fans reacted to the player at least trying to block LeBron James.

geddy_reed: Imagine playing your first Drew League game against LeBron .

marjohnson1031: Bron you understand in that first pic is someone’s son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend, relative lol?? he’s just a drew league player come on.

sintell_terry: This flagrant lol he ain’t sign up for that .

astrotorfcustoms: Props to dude in first slide jumping with ya .

midrangepullups: Dude got postered and ended up on Lebrons page .

ej_: Damn. There goes that man.

ryan_tchoungoua: Mans fearing for his life jumping with Lebron.

grindmodejoe: The first post it looks like he’s reevaluating his life trying to block Lebron .

hoodstar.tre: 1st picture is straight Muder , Homicide , Genocide all the above that man seen 2054 when bron went up .

mark_daviis: He only jumped yo be apart of the poster. He knew what he was doing.

brothermaars:  first slide human sacrifice.

kingice: Imagine getting off work at the Post Office for LeBron go postal on you at the Drew.

jeffboals: Who is this that made a poor decision to jump!?!

bybrand0: Imagine finishing your shift at Olive Garden only to get dunked on by LeBron James after work.

ronwaltersiii: First guy made a business decision but it was too late.

As expected, fans came up with some very hilarious responses to the Drew League player deciding to jump against LeBron James.

But one cannot blame the player for trying. Had he gone through with his block attempt and somehow succeeded, he would have gone viral instantly for other reasons. After all, how many non-NBA players can claim that they blocked LeBron James’ dunk attempt?
