Brandon Ingram may have last played a game for the New Orleans Pelicans in November, but safe to say he’s not the one to get distracted on and off the court.

This stems from a video clip of a female fan recording herself while watching a Pelicans game, and Ingram, on his part, was laser-focused on the events happening on the hardwood.

Ingram was off to a stellar start this season, averaging 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. It all came to a halt when he suffered a toe injury against the Memphis Grizzlies on November 25. But the Pelicans have been pressing on without him to stay third with a 28-13 record in the West.

He and Williamson, who has been having an impressive season himself, were ruled out of the team’s clash against the Boston Celtics, which they lost 125-114.

And watching on the sidelines, Ingram was spotted focusing on the game while a woman behind him was recording herself on video, and safe to say, any attempt to garner his off the game was futile.

The clip went viral, and fans were all praise for the 2020 NBA All-Star for not getting distracted, while some sections also expressed their rage at the woman looking to direct some of the spotlight to herself.

On the game front, the Pelicans were outplayed by the Celtics, with Jaylen Brown exploding for 41 points. Jayson Tatum wasn’t far behind with 31 points to his name, while Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 20 points.

Brandon Ingram And Zion Williamson’s Injuries Are A Massive Blow To The Pelicans

While New Orleans has a good record pegging them to be playoff and title contenders, the injuries to their star players pose a worrisome question of how they will fare in the games to come.

Williamson’s hamstring injury is expected to see him sidelined for at least a month, per NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski:

“Three weeks until there is a re-evaluation. I think the expectation is that Zion Williamson (right hamstring strain) will be out at least a month plus. This is not a mild strain. This is a New Orleans team that is always going to err on the side of caution. You’ve seen this New Orleans team without its three best players on the court together very often this season still be at the top of the Western Conference and they’re hopeful they can get Brandon Ingram back sooner than later.”

Ingram’s participation status, per the latest CBS report, was “still not practicing,” and that serves as a dampener for the Pelicans. The good news is that the schedule for the Pelicans doesn’t look too daunting in January.

That said, they will still be looking to avail the services of their two stars at the earliest. New Orleans plays the Detroit Pistons next.
