The upcoming matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors is a pivotal one, as the team that wins the game will take the lead in the series overall. Both sides are likely to play their best games today, which of course is fantastic for the fans.

Superstar LeBron James is clearly taking the game seriously, and he was spotted shooting baskets 5 hours before the tip-off at Crypto.com Arena. A lot of fans reacted to this, with some suggesting that he is in line for a 50-point triple-double.

Others were more conservative in their reactions, with a number of people stating that he will score 40 points.

A  number of people didn’t offer predictions on the superstar’s stat line, but instead praised him for being locked in.

It will be interesting to see how LeBron James does in Game 3, and the Los Angeles Lakers will definitely need a big-time performance from him to defeat the Golden State Warriors.

In the playoffs this season, LeBron James has averaged 22.3 PPG, 10.6 RPG, and 4.8 APG. Though he has been good defensively and an elite rebounder, the Lakers need more from him offensively if they are to reach their goal of winning a championship. The Lakers may be one of the best defensive teams in the playoffs, but it is clear that their offense is what will win them this series.

Klay Thompson Stated He’s Honored To Face Off Against LeBron James

There’s no doubt that LeBron James is a legend of the game, no matter the outcome of this series. In fact, Klay Thompson has claimed that it is an honor to face him, noting that he is one of the players that “bring out the best in you.”

“LeBron’s one of the special players, the Michaels, Kobes, LeBron, who bring out the best in you, especially from a competitive standpoint,” Thompson said. “It’s always an honor to match up against the greats. It’s not us vs. LeBron James, though. They have a very complete team, the Lakers do. The fact that he’s still doing it at 38 years old is incredible and inspiring for athletes everywhere.”

Klay Thompson has been fired up this series, averaging 27.5 PPG, 3.0 RPG, and 2.5 APG thus far against the Lakers. It is clear that he has been playing some of his best basketball, and hopefully, that continues.

The Warriors and LeBron James had an insane rivalry in the 2010s, and it is good to see them face off for another series. It’ll be interesting to see who prevails, but the series has definitely been entertaining thus far.
