Russell Westbrook has made his decision, and he will stay in Los Angeles after getting traded by the Lakers and getting bought out by the Utah Jazz. Westbrook will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers, as confirmed by Adrian Wojnarowski, in their bid to finally win a championship in the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George era.

The Los Angeles Clippers were very interested in having Westbrook on board, with Paul George making it quite obvious that the players approved of acquiring him. Russell Westbrook may not be the player he once was, but he is a beast nonetheless, averaging 16 points, over 6 rebounds, and over 7 assists per game this season.

This was when he didn’t even fit too well on the Lakers, but he should fit better on the Clippers. The franchise views him as a starter alongside Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, which should also do wonders for his confidence. And while there are obvious question marks around him still, a lot of fans think this was the final piece the Clippers needed to make it all the way.

NBA Fans Think The Clippers Can Win A Championship After Getting Russell Westbrook

Despite his struggles, Russell Westbrook can still dish out the ball at an elite level. And the shooting on the Clippers will give him plenty of space to operate for himself as well. There are doubters, as there always are, but a lot of fans seem to think that this move could be the final piece of the puzzle to get the Clippers an NBA championship.

“Championship incoming for the Clippers.”

“He gonna make the Lakers look like fools, let’s gooo!”

“It’s over for the league.”

“This Clippers Big 3 work better and gonna dominate, man.”

“This made my day. So happy for Russ!”

“Russell Westbrook, you are an NBA champion.”

“Who’s stopping this Big 3?”

“Why is all this happening in the West, I’m sick of it man.”

“The Clippers are finally about to win it all.”

“I love this for both Russ and the Clippers.”

“Idgaf what anyone say, this makes sense and they winning the chip.”

“Russell Westbrook gets to prove hisself in LA once more.”

The Los Angeles Clippers wanted Russell Westbrook, and having him is going to make a huge difference for them. If Paul George and Kawhi Leonard can stay healthy, Westbrook might just prove to be the ideal 3rd star for the team. And if they can unlock his abilities, the Clippers might just win a championship like some seem to think after all.
