The celebrities usually come out in full force during the NBA’s All-Star weekend, and this year was no different. A host of big names were present, and one of them was singer and actress Janelle Monae.

Monae first took part in the Celebrity All-Star game, where DK Metcalf stole the show, and she didn’t do a whole lot during it, as you might imagine. Then last night, she was given the task of introducing the three leading scorers in NBA history, as the league honored LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Karl Malone.

Her outfit for the occasion was quite something, and NBA fans absolutely loved it.

“Super Nice!”

“Perfection “

“Um, yeah. She’s the personification of the word “Incredible” I think. Like… Jesus, dude.”

“Good. Lord.”

“Highlight of the weekend”

“Good for her. She looks great.”

“@JanelleMonae is everything I want to be when I grow up. Damn.”

“Girl fine as hell but can’t play a lick of ball “

“SICKENING! My Queen!”

“Ain’t gonna lie, she looks “

“Walking like a rock star.”

“The Goddess Janelle Monae.”

“Build a superhero franchise around Ms. Monae right now, Hollywood.”

“I’m loving this outfit.”

“She been fine. Lmao”

“Good god”

“Janelle is constantly just being awesome.”

“She showed out this weekend”

“Janelle stay winning “

“Janelle Monae did not come to play! “

“So fine, omg “

That outfit took the temperature in the room up through the roof, and if there were people who were unaware of who she was before last night, it is safe to say they won’t be forgetting her anytime soon. While she probably wasn’t the highlight of the weekend, she did probably steal the show last night, as the game ended up being a dud.

The 2023 All-Star Game Was A Disappointment

There hasn’t been a lot of excitement around the All-Star game in recent years, and still, somehow, it ended up disappointing everybody that was watching. It was basically a glorified shoot-around, with there being a highway to the basket for whoever wasn’t interested in jacking up a 3-pointer.

Jaylen Brown and Michael Malone expressed their displeasure afterward, with Brown saying it wasn’t basketball out there while Malone said it was the worst game ever played. It is a real shame what has happened to what was once an event everyone used to look forward to.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
