The Brooklyn Nets have recently defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 129-100 on the 76ers’ home court. There is no doubt that this was a demoralizing loss for the Philadelphia 76ers, as they lost by 29 points on their floor.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both had spectacular performances, and the game did not seem particularly close. Kevin Durant put up 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Kyrie Irving tallied 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. There’s no question that the two combine to make one of the best duos in the league when actually on the court together.

NBA fans reacted to the game between the Nets and the 76ers, with many of them criticizing the Philadelphia 76ers for their poor performance. Some were ready to declare that they’d prefer Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant over Joel Embiid and James Harden in a playoff setting.

I’d take KD and Kyrie in a playoff series over Harden and Embiid.

It is clear that the Brooklyn Nets made a statement today. The 76ers simply had no answers for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s offense and performed poorly offensively themselves. The 76ers were clearly never in the game, as they started poor and were down by double digits for the majority of the game.

Hopefully, we see the Philadelphia 76ers figure things out in the future. They clearly have areas they need to work on. The good news for the Philadelphia 76ers is that there are still some games left to play prior to the playoffs, so perhaps they can iron out their kinks prior to the postseason.

For the Brooklyn Nets, this is a foundation win, from which they can build on to finish the season strong. There is some optimism from the team that Ben Simmons will return prior to the playoffs beginning, and the Brooklyn Nets look to be a fantastic team when healthy.

If the two teams face one another in the playoffs, it is bound to be one of the most interesting series of the year. It remains to be seen if things end up being that way, but a lot of fans would definitely enjoy a matchup between the two teams.
