NBA Insider Doesn’t Want To See James Harden’s Comeback Yet: “I Want To See Kevin Durant Sweat For The First Time In 5 Years. He Hasn’t Had To Since 2016”

Kevin Durant is trying to lead the Brooklyn Nets to the NBA Finals this season. Even though Kyrie Irving and James Harden are right by his side, the 2x NBA champion is considered the team leader.

The responsibility of leading the Nets to the championship falls on KD’s shoulders, and he’s ready to face and complete the challenge. However, the Nets don’t have James Harden with them right now, which makes things harder in their series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Durant torched the Bucks in the first two games of the series, but things got tough when they traveled to Wisconsin. They only scored 83 points, suffering the first loss of the series. KD will have to work harder to get past Giannis Antetokounmpo while Harden is sidelined.

NBA insider Wosny Lambre recently joined The Bill Simmons podcast. He claimed that Durant needs to work hard to win the championship, something he hasn’t done since he joined the Golden State Warriors in 2016 (36:12).

“I would say this and this is kinda messed up to say. I kind of don’t want Harden to come back yet. I want to see Kevin Durant sweat for the first postseason in five f**cking 5 years. I wanna see this guy break a sweat in the playoffs. Like he hasn’t had to since literally 2016. That classic series against the Warriors. I wanna see this guy break a sweat.”

This is a very interesting opinion from Lambre. Durant wasn’t seen with the same eyes after he joined the Warriors in the summer of 2016. He went to play in three straight NBA Finals, winning two titles in the process. The Dubs didn’t have to work hard to reach those series, let alone win the title, so you know Lambre isn’t alone.

If the Nets get past the Bucks, they will probably face the Philadelphia 76ers, a bigger challenge than Milwaukee. Still, the way this team plays, it looks very hard that they will lose the NBA championship, even with James Harden sidelined.
