Andrew Wiggins Was There When Kobe Bryant Surpassed Michael Jordan's Scoring Record And When Stephen Curry Broke Ray Allen's Three-Point Record

There are moments in the NBA that when you look back, you ask everyone 'where were you?' when it happened. And Tuesday night at MSG was one of those moments when Stephen Curry broke Ray Allen's three-point record. Andrew Wiggins got to pass him the ball to make it happen, but he was also present for another historic moment.

In 2014, Kobe Bryant surpassed Michael Jordan on the NBA's all-time scoring list to take the 3rd spot. Kobe did this against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Playing for the Timberwolves was a young rookie who was the number one overall pick of that year's draft; Andrew Wiggins. What makes it even more special is that both records were broken on the same day, 7 years apart; December 14th

Wiggins had been traded to the Timberwolves as part of a package that sent Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers, forming a big three with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. This trade gave Wiggins the chance to develop as a player until he was eventually traded to the Warriors 5 years later.

After the game, Wiggins explained everything about the moment where he passed the ball to Stephen Curry. He also said that he was very proud to have assisted such a historic shot, and it is a pass that he will cherish and remember for the rest of his life.

“I saw Steph with a little bit of space and a chance to make history. To assist that basket means a lot. Something I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life.”

For Wiggins, it must have been truly special to be on the court for both those moments. One can assume that Wiggins will prefer Curry breaking the three-point record, as not only was he on Curry's team, as opposed to playing against Kobe but also, he got to pass the ball to Steph to make the shot that broke the record.

Perhaps Wiggins will be on the court when the next big milestone is broken. Perhaps he could be playing with or against LeBron James when he is on the verge of breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record.
