Bryce James will be suiting up for the University of Arizona this upcoming college season, and he recently sat down for a “Get To Know” session for their fans. James answered a wide range of questions from his favorite food to his favorite professional sports team.

Q: “Favorite Food?”

Bryce James: “Duck.”

Q: “Favorite Artist?”

James: “Juice WRLD.”

Q: “Favorite Movie?”

James: “Monster House.”

Q: “Favorite TV show?”

James: “Spongebob.”

Q: “Favorite Hero?”

James: “Flash.”

Q: “Favorite Villain?”

James: “Green Goblin.”

Q: “Favorite Quote?”

James: “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

Q: “Favorite Book?”

James: “Harry Potter.”

Q: “Dream vacation?”

James: “Bora Bora.”

Q: “Favorite pro-sports team?”

James: “Lakers.”

Q: “Favorite basketball player?”

James: “LeBron.”

Q: “Who is the greatest player of all time?”

James: “Bron.”

Q: “Favorite basketball memory?

James: “Winning [state] championship.”

Bryce and his elder brother, Bronny James, appear to have similar preferences. Bronny spoke about his love for Juice WRLD in 2024 and revealed he was wearing No. 9 to honor him. He also named Bora Bora as a place he’d love to travel to, but his favorite food is Acai Bowls, not Duck.

As for Bryce’s picks for favorite team, player, and greatest player of all time, none of them were all too surprising. The 18-year-old went with the Los Angeles Lakers and his father, LeBron James. Bronny, too, had named LeBron as his favorite player. It will be interesting to see if these three get to team up on the Lakers next season.

LeBron accomplished a long-term goal of his when he got to play with Bronny on the Lakers in 2024-25. They were the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA, and it was a special moment when they walked out on the court for the first time.

Will the 40-year-old LeBron stick around for another two seasons to play with Bryce, who would be eligible to enter the 2026 NBA Draft? Time will tell.

LeBron certainly has gas left in the tank at the moment, as he averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game in 2024-25. Provided he doesn’t get injured, it does seem like there’s a good chance he’ll get to play with his youngest son as well.

As for whether the Lakers would draft Bryce, you’d imagine they will, after selecting Bronny with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
