The Los Angeles Lakers have had a tumultuous and inconsistent season this year, despite having a lot of talented players on their roster. They were expected to be a championship contender, but the Lakers currently have a 23-23 record and are 7th in the Western Conference.

As a result of them not meeting expectations, the Los Angeles Lakers have constantly been the targets of criticism from analysts and fans alike. Charles Barkley has even called the Lakers “wussies” recently for throwing Frank Vogel and Russell Westbrook under the bus for their problems.

Despite all the noise surrounding them, it seems as though the Los Angeles Lakers are not bothered. Carmelo Anthony has revealed that the team tries to pay no attention to “the chaos” that is on the outside.

Carmelo on the outside noise surrounding the Lakers: “We try not to pay attention to the chaos.”

This is a good mentality to have as a player, as the focus should always be on winning, rather than listening to outside criticism. There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers are doing their best to improve their performance. LeBron James even issued an apology to Lakers fans last Sunday, promising that the team will be better going forward. Hopefully, we see the team deliver and start winning more games in the coming weeks.

Time is quickly running out for the Los Angeles Lakers to figure things out, and there are a lot of people that believe a trade could help fix some of the team’s issues. The Lakers have notably been linked with Jerami Grant ahead of the deadline, and there have been reports that revealed they have already offered Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and draft compensation to try and acquire the forward. It remains to be seen what course of action the Lakers take for the rest of the season.
