Being an NBA analyst is not an easy task by any means. There are some who are simply better than the others for various different reasons. For example, one might have a vast amount of knowledge of the sport.
On the other hand, a few are who do the job of entertaining the audience perfectly. The crew of ‘NBA on TNT’ featuring the likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith certainly have a positive point on both parts.
The crew is amazing with their great takes and more often than not they are part of some pretty hilarious videos that fans enjoy from time to time. Recently, Chuck and Kenny were part of one such video.
In this episode of the show, the crew was talking about how Ben Simmons DM’d Shaquille O’Neal to discuss his current struggles. During that, Chuck hilariously revealed that he doesn’t even know what DM means. Upon hearing that Kenny Smith tried to explain it to him. Here is how the conversation went.
Charles Barkley: “What do you call it? DM? I don’t know what that means.
Kenny Smith: “It’s a direct message on Instagram. So it’s basically instead of having someone. Oh my, I can’t believe I’m explaining this- but instead of having somebody’s cellphone number. Like if he is on Instagram, I can send him a direct message and don’t have his phone number, he can choose to read it and choose not to read it or choose to answer it. Basically, remember back in earlier in the afternoon you was like chickenhead (starts laughing).”
While it is strange that Chuck isn’t aware of what DM means, it is understandable if he doesn’t use social media.
But the way Smith tried to explain it, it was no good either. If anything, Smith only further confused Chuck instead of helping him understand what a DM feature is on Instagram.
