Charles Barkley Names Giannis Antetokounmpo The Best Player In The World Ahead Of Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid And Nikola Jokic

2 Min Read

Giannis Antetokounmpo is trying to defend his 2021 NBA championship, but the challenge will be harder this year. We have better-coached teams, stronger lineups and healthy teams that will try to take advantage of a Bucks team that doesn’t have Khris Middleton available.

The Greek Freak showed his quality once again in Game 1 of the second-round series between the Bucks and Celtics, making another statement that he is one of the best, if not the best player in the world right now.

Prior to Game 2 of the Milwaukee Bucks-Boston Celtics series, Charles Barkley had something to say about Giannis’ current moment and what it means for him and the rest of the NBA. He placed the 2x NBA player over other superstars, calling him the best player in the world right now.

“This dude’s the best basketball player in the world, and I’m willing to say by far. No disrespect to Joel Embiid, Joker, Kevin Durant.”

“This guy is the best basketball player, and we have started taking him for granted, because he won back-to-back MVPs, and then he won a championship. This guy is incredible.”

Giannis has gotten people used to seeing him having incredible nights that it has become a common thing. He keeps posting incredible numbers and showing his dominance over the years, but people take him for granted. The good thing is that Giannis always tries to do better regardless of who’s watching or counting on him to fail.

The Greek Freak is a generational talent and it’s great to see how far he’s come and how great he is right now. He still has chances to win the series against the Celtics and probably recover Khris Middleton for a potential Eastern Conference finals. Right now, Barkley is right: Giannis is the best player in the world.
