Charles Barkley Says Tom Brady Is Greater Than Michael Jordan: “When You Playing Football, Every Single Game In The Playoffs Is A Game 7…”

2 Min Read

Michael Jeffrey Jordan is widely recognized as the greatest basketball player ever. With six Championships, 14 All-Star appearances, and 5 MVPs, he is certainly one of the most accomplished players basketball has ever known.

Considering everything MJ has done and meant to the game of basketball, he is up there as one of the planet’s all-time greatest athletes.

But for TNT analyst Charles Barkley, that title doesn’t belong to him anymore. Following Tom Brady’s seventh Super Bowl win, Chuck explained to TMZ why the Bucs quarterback has overtaken Jordan as the GOAT of American sports.

“It’s hard for me to put anybody above Michael, but Michael was always gonna be the best player 4 out of 7 games,” Chuck told ESPN 1000’s “Waddle and Silvy.”

“But, the difference is every time Tom Brady played a football game, it was a Game 7. I never had thought about it like that. I mean, you think about that. Every football game in the playoffs is a Game 7.

Like, if Michael, he’s gon’ win most series because he’s gonna be the best player 4 outta 7 games. But, when you playing football, every single game in the playoffs is a Game 7.”

It’s tough to compare athletes within the same sport, much less athletes across multiple different sports. Jordan and Brady are both well accomplished in their respective sports. And while Brady has more Super Bowl wins, LeBron technically holds more personal accolades.

Regardless, it’s impossible to come to a conclusive opinion. The sports are just too different — but that doesn’t mean the debates and opinions will stop.
