Damian Lillard Said He Would’ve Liked To Play For The Lakers Or Jazz If The Blazers Didn’t Want Him

2 Min Read

After a tumultuous weekend, Damian Lillard is involved in any kind of rumor around the association. The Portland Trail Blazers point guard seems to be on his way out of the Moda Center after several seasons trying to win without success.

Following another early playoffs exit, the All-Star is rumored to be growing unhappy with the team’s front office, which may lead to his departure from Portland. NBA fans are well aware of this and they started digging in old posts from Dame to try to find out where he could go play next.

Darrelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports brought back an old tweet of Dame where he revealed what two teams he’d like to play for if the Blazers didn’t land him in 2012. Surprisingly, he picked the Utah Jazz as one of those, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Curiously, the purple and gold are one of the teams linked to Lillard in recent days. They are looking to bounce back next season after an early elimination this year, and Dame will bring the right tools they need to succeed again.

It’s unclear what offer they can make to the Lakers and if the Blazers are willing to take it. Knowing Dame’s quality, he won’t miss suitors for his services. However, the Lakers’ name was already dropped in the mix. Many people believe Dame should team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis in Los Angeles.

With the recent events in Portland, Dame getting a lot of criticism from endorsing Jason Kidd and Chauncey Billups’ hirings, the player could be living his last moments as a Blazer.
