Kyrie Irving and Damian Lillard are fierce competitors on the basketball court, and have faced off against each other multiple times since their careers began. Still, despite those facts, it doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate each other’s talent.

On Instagram, Mr. Lillard showed some serious love and appreciation to the Nets star by calling his game the “most beautiful in history” after his 40-point performance against the Celtics.

Uncle Drew is a pretty controversial player, especially for the things he says and does off the court. From calling the earth flat, to throwing his own teammates under the bus, he has been involved in multiple “scandals” that have turned off a lot of fans.

But his skill set and mastery of the game cannot be denied. With arguably the greatest handles in basketball history, he’s able to create space and blow by defenders in ways normal humans struggle to even imagine.

Love him or hate him, it’s hard to deny that there is a level of beauty to his game that we haven’t seen before.

Certainly, Damian Lillard (who is amongst the best guards in the game himself) is in awe — and that’s got to count for something.
