The Phoenix Suns shocked the world when they secured the Western Conference’s second seed. Their reward? A first-round matchup against LeBron James and the defending Champs.

Somehow, the Suns might actually be underdogs in this series, as many have the more experienced Lakers taking care of business.

But for Devin Booker, he has every intention of making some noise…

“It’s been a long journey since I’ve been here,” Booker said, via Duane Rankin of AZ Central. “A full six years to get to this point and I know it’s been even longer for the city of Phoenix and this organization to get to this point. So I don’t want to take these opportunities for granted. We gave the fans what they wanted with a playoff berth and now, we want to give them even more of what they asked for.”

Phoenix has had a miraculous season, and nobody can argue otherwise. The team has been solid on both ends of the floor, and Chris Paul’s arrival has added that extra leadership component to the team.

Ultimately, we don’t know what to expect from the Suns this year, only that their first-round series against L.A. will serve as a major test for them.

It’s okay if they’re not favorited, but nobody should count them out completely.
