Skip Bayless’ obsession with LeBron James is known to every basketball fan at this point. Bayless routinely dishes out negative takes regarding LeBron on television and on social media, which has helped him gain quite the following. Thanks to it, he has become one of the more recognizable sports television personalities, and with all the success he has had with this way of doing things, he’s not going to stop anytime soon.

His latest criticism of James was typical Bayless, as he praised Kevin Durant for being clutch, unlike LeBron, and he got a reaction out of NBA Twitter as you’d expect. It’s gotten to the point where other athletes are also calling him out for it, and former NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant was the latest one to do so.

That does sum up Skip’s obsession, and a WNBA player had also called him out on it last week. Considering the fame that he has gotten from it, Skip’s just going to keep doing this, but with so many people bringing this up recently, including Draymond Green, he made it a point to defend himself. On his own show, he stated he isn’t trying to tear down James because LeBron tears himself down, which is a ridiculous thing to say.

When you nitpick each and everything that a player does on the court, it is easy to say that they are tearing themselves down. At the end of the day, they are just human beings out there, and some missteps on the court are inevitable. Bayless doesn’t hold other players accountable for their play like he does with LeBron, and that is evident to whoever has listened to him talk for any period of time. He doesn’t even need LeBron to do anything on the court to go after him, as evidenced by that tweet to Durant, and it’s a credit to James that he has never responded in any fashion over the years.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
