LeBron James put on a show for his fans in Cleveland when he returned to play against the Cavaliers. Playing against the team he won an NBA championship with, James went off, scoring 38 points, ending up with a triple-double, and putting an exclamation mark on his performance with an incredible dunk on his former teammate Kevin Love.

Draymond Green addressed his business associate and friend LeBron James’ performance on his Instagram story, noting that most people would have seen this performance coming if they had seen it on the calendar. Green seems to think LeBron wanted to put on the performance he did against his former team.

“If you looked at the schedule in advance, you knew this was happening.”

LeBron and Green have a history together, one that dates back to James’ second stint with the Cavaliers. During his 4-year stint with the Cavaliers, James faced Draymond Green and the Warriors 4 years in a row in the NBA Finals. And Green’s suspension in Game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals was a big reason why James and the Cavs came out on top in 2016.

Since James left the Cavs and joined the Lakers, his relationship with Draymond has improved significantly. The two work together now on different projects off the court, especially when it comes to multimedia work. What was once a tense relationship due to animosity on the court has now become a very fruitful friendship between James and Green.

Both Green and James started the season out hoping to take their teams back to the NBA Finals. But as things stand, it is more likely that Green and the Warriors make it to the NBA Finals, especially considering how poor the Lakers have been this year. However, as is the case each season, it is dangerous to rule out any team that has LeBron James on the court.
