Emmanuel Acho Believes Stephen Curry Will Be One Of The 7 Players Who Are Consensus Top-10 Players Of All-Time If The Warriors Win The 2022 Championship

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has already left behind a career of greatness. Even though he spent a couple of years out of the playoffs, the drive to win was always going to bring him back to the biggest stage in basketball, the NBA Finals.

Curry is going to play in his 6th NBA Finals on Thursday, as the Warriors host the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the Finals. Now that Steph is going to have a shot at winning his fourth title, he is slowly entering the territory of the absolute best to ever play the game, with many already calling him a top-10 player of all time.

Emmanuel Acho believes Curry will be an indisputable top-seven player if the Warriors win a championship, as Steph will become one of seven players to have won 4 NBA titles along with 2 NBA MVPs. The other 6 on this list are absolute heavy-hitters:

There are 6 NBA players who’s place in the top 10 we never dispute, if Steph Curry wins another title, he becomes the 7th. He’s automatically top 10 all time.

“They won at least 4 NBA titles and 2 NBA MVPs. Why do I bring this up? Because our guy Steph Curry sits there with 2 MVPs and 3 titles. If Steph Curry gets that fourth, he becomes a part of the undisputable 7. It’s currently 6, because they gave you 4 titles and two MVPs. The second Stephen Curry gives you his fourth along with his two MVPs, it’s now an indisputable seven.”

This method of ranking players has already put Steph ahead of legends of the game like Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O’Neal, among others. Bird is a title shot by this metric, while Kobe and Shaq are both one MVP short.

These lists are never objective as everyone adds their own variation to these rankings based on what they value in the GOAT conversation. Some players are perennial names in that argument, and if Curry wins this title, he will elevate his status when it comes to these debates.
