Fans React To Poorly Rated ESPN HORSE Competition

1 Min Read

As silence falls throughout the sports world, networks are trying to find new ways to entertain their fans.

Last week, ESPN held a 2k tournament that saw some of our favorite NBA players battle it out in an esports competition. This week, ESPN continued their desperate hunt for ratings by hosting a HORSE competition. Featuring a mix of current and former NBA and WBNA stars, the idea seemed like a really good one until things actually got started.

Because each player competed from separate gyms, the video quality was pretty poor and there were just too many awkward moments in between for it to feel right. All-in-all, it was a good effort, but many fans were displeased with the result.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem as though the HORSE competition was a success. The footage was poor, the coverage was awkward and it just didn’t hold the attention of fans. But kudos to ESPN for trying and here’s to hoping they find something that works in the near future.

We’ve got a long few weeks of quarantine ahead of us.
