Exposing terrible takes has become a common thing in the NBA in recent days. Michael Rapaport had one that resonated around the league on Tuesday night following Kevin Durant's 49-point masterpiece against the Milwaukee Bucks.
KD was heavily criticized for not leading the Brooklyn Nets to the win in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, but the player fired back with an excellent performance in Game 5. After the game was over, people brought up the receipts, including Rapaport saying that Durant can't 'impose his game on a team' like LeBron James, Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook.
"If you're waiting for that "KD game," it ain't happening. Durant has never IMPOSED his will ever. Lebron, Steph & Russ can impose their will on a team. There's also nothing "BROOKLYN" about his game," he wrote on an Instagram story.
This looked like a very good take in the first half of the game, with the Bucks dominating the Nets until KD said 'enough' and took things personally, torching Khris Middleton and PJ Tucker.
In case you don't know, Rapaport had reasons to root against KD. They were very good friends until things went wrong, and the actor had a heated exchange with the 2x NBA champion on social media.
It's been a couple of months since that, but some people have a hard time forgetting about that. KD is ready to close things out at the Fiserv Forum in Game 6, but the Bucks will try to ruin his plans and force Game 7.
