Giannis Antetokounmpo On Khris Middleton-Jrue Holiday Friendship: “They Sit Next To Each Other In The Locker Room. They Go Out To Dinners. Dates And Stuff.”

The Milwaukee Bucks won the 2021 NBA championship led by their Big 3 of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. Of course, they had quality role players like PJ Tucker and Brook Lopez, but the spotlight was always on their star trio.

They are set to defend their championship this season, looking stronger than last campaign, with their Big 3 ready to go against anybody on their way to back-to-back championships. Middleton and Holiday got closer than ever during the summer, reinforcing their relationship for Team USA and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Giannis Antetokounmpo recently talked about it, saying they’re real buddies now, joking and saying they go on dates, but making it clear he’s not jealous of them.

Since returning from Tokyo, Middleton and Holiday have forged an even tighter bond.

“Oh yeah, [their relationship], it’s grown a lot,” Antetokounmpo said on Zoom after the first preseason game. “They sit next to each other in the locker room now. Yeah, they go out to dinners. Dates and stuff.”

“Hey, you sound jealous, man. You all right?” Middleton, who was waiting to join the call next, inquired from the background.

“I’m not jealous,” Antetokounmpo said, smiling.

Giannis is a joker; that’s not a secret. The Greek Freak is always trying to make people laugh and this is another example of that. Middleton and Holiday becoming best friends is excellent news for the Bucks.

Somehow, they led the team’s comeback in the Finals. After going down 2-0 against the Phoenix Suns, they both laughed at the post-game conference, making it clear there was nothing to worry about.

After that, the Bucks won four straight games, beating the Suns and winning the first championship in 50 years. They all played for one goal and didn’t rest until they achieved it. So yes, if Jrue and Khris are closer now, that’s a great thing for Milwaukee. This team is one of the favorites to win it all next year and team chemistry always plays a huge role in that.
