Ice Cube Didn’t Include Michael Jordan On His All-Time Starting 5

Ice Cube raised a lot of eyebrows around the NBA world when he left Michael Jordan out of his all-time starting lineup. The legendary rapper is an avid basketball fan, and his knowledge of the game is well documented. Yet, plenty of fans are pissed off after he ignored His Airness.

In a recent edition of Showtime’s “All the Smoke,” the former N.W.A member selected five players for his all-time starting lineup, almost picking a full-Laker lineup if it wasn’t for the greatest power forward ever (1:40:20).

Ice Cube, born O’Shea Jackson, went with Magic Johnson as his point guard, Kobe Bryant as the shooting guard, LeBron James as the small forward, Tim Duncan as the power forward, and Shaquille O’Neal as the center.

Plenty of fans didn’t like this lineup, though. It’s well known that he’s a diehard Lakers fan but not picking Jordan is too much.

I wonder what his favourite team is

He woulda threw in Worthy but needed a token non laker

Um take out Kobe and put mj

Best center of all time was Kareem in High school, college and just happens to be the all time leading scorer in the NBA. So, sorry Shaq..
Greatest player MJ. Replace Curry.

Where is MJ ?

I thought Lakers Pau Gasol would be the PF he would choose lol

imagine leaving mj off

A bull is missing ⚪2️⃣3️⃣

No MJ? ✌

Ice cube needs god

Guess he never saw Wilt play!

Looks a bit biased. I bet if LA had an all time great PF he would’ve slid him on the list too.

No MJ? Clown list

Whenever you have former players, analysts, and even rappers, it’s hard not to disagree with them regarding hypothetical scenarios, tops, and lineups. This time isn’t the exception, but Jackson has his reasons to go this way.

Besides, Kobe is the second greatest shooting guard of all-time behind Jordan, so it wasn’t like he picked a player with zero recognition. Still, it’s curious to see that he left MJ out of this, but there’s nothing we can do about it.
