Devin Booker has long been the face of the Phoenix Suns. He is known for being an explosive and skilled scorer, and there’s no doubt that he is highly proficient at creating his own shot. Devin Booker is averaging 25.9 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 4.9 APG this season, all while shooting 37.6% from the 3PT range.

The Phoenix Suns have been the best team in the NBA during this regular season, and they currently have a 58-14 record. There’s no doubt that Devin Booker’s scoring has had a lot to do with that.

Legendary point guard Isiah Thomas has recently claimed that Devin Booker should be in the MVP conversation. Thomas pointed out that Devin Booker is the leading scorer on the best team in the league, and those players have generally always been a part of the discussion for the award.

There is no doubt that Devin Booker has been relatively underrated this season due to the Phoenix Suns dominating as a unit. Though he may not get as much recognition as other top-flight stars due to his team situation, Devin Booker has been consistent all season, and he is obviously the focal point scoring-wise for the team. It’s easy to see why Isiah Thomas would suggest that Devin Booker should be in contention for the MVP award.

With that being said, there are definitely other players in the league that have good cases for winning the MVP award, such as Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. There is a lot of talent in the NBA currently, and the competition for the awards is going to be difficult.

While he may not win the MVP award this season, there’s a chance for Devin Booker to potentially win the NBA championship. There were definitely people who thought that they would be able to beat the Milwaukee Bucks last season in the Finals, but the Phoenix Suns fell a little short of the championship. Hopefully, we see them get back to the Finals, and perhaps they’ll end up finishing the job.
