It has been over a year since we’ve seen Kobe Bryant, and even longer than we have seen him on the basketball court.

Still, even now, he continues to motivate and inspire people all around the world.

One such individual is Warriors youngster James Wiseman, who sounded off on some things he’s picked up over the years from one of his idols.

“It’s a lot of different ones, but I would say Kobe has the most quotes. I watched a lot of interviews that he did, and he’s very inspirational to me. You can’t go through life trying to impress other people, so make sure you impress yourself and stay uplifted. Stay confident and make sure you don’t let anybody tell you what you can and can’t do. Because you can do anything that you put your mind to, that’s a fact,” Wiseman said.

Kobe went through life in a very particular way, and he had a reason for everything that he said and did.

As a hard worker and fierce competitor, he always sought to be the best version of himself, and that often brought out the best in others.

“The way he was on the floor,” said Anthony Davis. “– a fierce competitor — the way he was off the floor — such a loving guy — I think it’s hard for people not to love Kobe and not see the inspiration that he tried to give to the world.”

Bryant retired in 2016 after 20 years in the NBA. He was an 18x All-Star, 15x All-NBA player, 2x Finals MVP, and 5x NBA Champion.

Kobe died in January of 2020, in a tragic and heartbreaking helicopter crash that killed multiple people. Still his memory and legacy continue to live on in the hearts and minds of the many who he has impacted.
