Jaxson Hayes Was Arrested And Hospitalized After Altercation With Police

Jaxson Hayes is making headlines recently and not precisely for the right reasons. The young center was arrested and hospitalized after an alleged brawl with the police, where he was tased.

Hayes doesn’t look like the guy who gets involved in these types of incidents, so this is shocking news. TMZ reports that the player and one police officer were taken to the hospital to treat injuries after getting into a fight.

New Orleans Pelicans center Jaxson Hayes — the #8 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft — was arrested after an alleged violent altercation with police, TMZ Sports has learned … and it apparently got so extreme, the hooper and a cop were taken to a hospital.

We’re told law enforcement were called to an LA area home for a domestic disturbance early Wednesday morning … and when cops attempted to check on the parties involved, 21-year-old Hayes tried like hell to keep them from entering the premises.

Sources tell us 6’11”, 220-lb. Hayes got combative with cops and a fight broke out … with the ex-Texas Longhorns star getting tased in the middle of the scuffle.

The brawl was allegedly so intense, police put out an “officer needs help” radio call.

This is something new, and we’ll know more details about this in the next couple of days. Fortunately, the situation didn’t get worse, and hopefully, the player and the officer are fine.

Hayes comes from a season where he averaged 7.5 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 0.6 APG in 60 matches with the New Orleans Pelicans.
