Jayson Tatum has recently led the Boston Celtics to a win over the Miami Heat in Game 7. He has been productive all series, and there’s no doubt that he was the key figure in the Boston Celtics being able to win their series.
As a result of his heroics in the Western Conference Finals, Jayson Tatum was awarded the Larry Bird Eastern Conference Finals MVP award. After receiving the award, Jayson Tatum reacted to it, claiming that he is “extremely happy and grateful”, while adding that he feels like “a kid” living out his dream.
Jayson Tatum on the Larry Bird trophy and being in Bird's company with Boston: "It feels great. I'm just extremely happy and grateful. For all of us. (looks at the trophy) I still feel like a kid living out my dream…But I'm gonna take it home, show Deuce tomorrow, enjoy it."

There is no doubt that Jayson Tatum is allowed to bask in the glory for a while, as he has finally managed to break through to the NBA Finals after years of trying to get out of the Eastern Conference. However, he will soon have to focus on winning the Finals, against an experienced Golden State Warriors team that has won multiple titles in the past.
The Golden State Warriors have a lot of talent on their roster, and there’s no doubt that they will be a challenging team to defeat for the Boston Celtics. They have good wing defenders in Andrew Wiggins and Otto Porter Jr. that they could potentially throw at Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, and they have offensive firepower in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole as well.
Hopefully, we see the Finals feature a lot of good basketball, and there’s no doubt that will be a competitive series. Perhaps we’ll see Jayson Tatum lead the Celtics to their first championship since 2008, and it would be unwise to count them out prematurely.
