Jayson Tatum is looking to pull off an incredible 3-2 comeback in the NBA Finals to give his Boston Celtics another chance at life against the Golden State Warriors. We have seen teams make 3-2 comebacks in the Finals before, so it wouldn’t be unprecedented if the Celtics managed to pull it off.
It still would be extremely impressive, so Tatum needs to be locked in to make sure he can provide for his teammates. He has struggled against the Warriors’ defense but had a good Game 5 performance, even though the Celtics lost. Tatum needs to block out all the critics and zone in on Game 6 to make sure his Celtics don’t go home so early.
Tatum joined ESPN ahead of Game 6 and was asked about how he keeps all the noise from analysts and fans away during such high-pressure Finals moments. Tatum had a very mature response to the same.
"I'm not watching TV, I'm not on social media, on Twitter. When I come home, I'm playing basketball in the driveway with Deuce." @jaytatum0 joined @CassidyHubbarth to discuss how he tunes out the outside noise. pic.twitter.com/V6yvfwYo6X

“I’m not watching TV, I’m not on social media. I come home and I’m playing basketball in the driveway with Deuce and then watching a movie. I’m not paying attention to what people are saying, that’s always gonna be there. That’s just part of what we do and you gotta accept it. All that matters is whether we win or lose.”
Tatum has the right mindset, as letting in the hate from outside would just be detrimental. He doesn’t need a fan on Twitter to tell him the importance of the NBA Finals, so it is better if he stays around his close circle who will give him objective motivation.
Boston wants to lift their 18th championship and Tatum wants to be the one to do so. While Jaylen Brown may be having a better series according to many, Tatum is going to be the difference-maker for Boston in Game 6.
