Karl-Anthony Towns Reveals On Instagram That He Was Hit By A Drunk Driver And Temporarily Hospitalized In 2020 Offseason

1 Min Read

It’s been a pretty rough time for Karl-Anthony Towns lately. Amid his failures with the Timberwolves, the guy lost several family members, including his mother, to COVID-19. He was later diagnosed with the virus himself, and has since missed the team’s last six games with a wrist injury.

Now, as he announced on Instagram, we also have to add another tragedy to his list of grievances: a drunk-driving accident that saw the Minnesota star get hospitalized in the 2020 offseason.

Needless to say, fans were pretty shocked in the comments, clearly feeling bad for all the bad luck Mr. Towns has encountered lately.

Many are concerned about Towns’ mental health because, really, nobody should have to go through this much in such a short period of time.

The good news now is, he seems to be getting through it well enough, and there has been a huge outpouring of love and support for him since all of this started.

Here’s to hoping for better days ahead…
