There is a lot of serious business in the NBA, especially during the season. Players and stars alike are focused on making things happen for their teams as they all try to win a championship. But the season is long, and a lot of players are also focused on their hobbies and interests outside of basketball.

Serge Ibaka is a champion, someone that has played at a high level for a long time. But outside his basketball, he hosts a show on YouTube, where he shares hilarious moments with other NBA stars. And while he recently took to Twitter with some smoke for Kendrick Perkins, he is back to being wholesome on the website today.

Kevin Durant released his list of Top 5 albums of 2022 recently, he is an avid fan of rap. The list included popular artists like Kodak Black, Drake, 21 Savage, and Future. But one name was missing, and that was Serge Ibaka, who released his album ART in 2022. This came up most hilariously.

Serge Ibaka And Kevin Durant Had An Epic Exchange On Twitter After Ibaka Asked KD To Listen To His Album

Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka were teammates on the Oklahoma City Thunder, but clearly, KD hasn’t kept up with Ibaka recently. When Ibaka told him to listen to his album, Durant seemingly didn’t know about it, and he responded to Ibaka’s tweet with a hilarious Shaquille O’Neal meme.

“Hey easy money! How can you forget to put ART on ? Lol.”

While a lot of NBA players make music, and the results are mixed since it’s not their primary profession, Ibaka’s album has received a lot of hype in 2022. His song Champion made history when it achieved more streams on Spotify than any other NBA player has managed. And after he was told to, Kevin Durant made it a point to check out the music, as he posted a screenshot of Ibaka’s album in a separate tweet.

“I’m locked in now.”

Sports and the NBA, in particular, are filled with rivalries and stars are constantly competing to be the best. Not everyone is on the same level, but it’s always fun to see the camaraderie win out over the constant competition from time to time. Furthermore, if an athlete like Serge Ibaka can make it as a musician, it’s a good look for the league and its talent as a whole.
