Kevin Garnett Explains How Russell Westbrook Can Redeem Himself: “The F***ing Playoffs. You Don’t Want To Be In A 7-Game Series With A Wounded Animal.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are struggling to get things going this season, even though they have shown an improved image in the last couple of games. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook have tried to lead them to the top of the Western Conference, but things haven’t gone in their favor.

They are apparently finding their rhythm in recent days, but that will only help them to face the play-in tournament in the best shape, not climb positions in the leaderboard. Westbrook has been heavily criticized for his performances, but not everybody has given up on him.

Recently, Kevin Garnett explained that the Purple and Gold, and Russ, can still turn things around, suggesting that the former NBA MVP will have a chance to redeem himself in the postseason (15:55).

“Don’t nobody want to see Bron in no eight or seven. Those teams, they talk that s–t,” Garnett said. “All that s–t go out the window. All of that was one season. You know how you can redeem yourself? The f*cking playoffs. [Russell Westbrook] come through and have an unbelievable playoffs, everybody is gonna forget about this other s–t. Watch…You don’t want to be in a seven-game series with a wounded animal.”

Russ has gotten used to having slow starts and then improving his level as the season develops. It looks like he’s finally reaching that point, with 10 games left for the Los Angeles Lakers. If he can find his pace during these matches, it’ll be fun to watch him, LeBron James and probably Anthony Davis in the postseason.

Several people think he can still accomplish good things with the Lakers. On the other hand, others believe they can only reach the first round of the playoffs and get tossed out like they were last season.
