The Golden State Warriors held their championship parade to celebrate the 2022 NBA title triumph with the fans of San Francisco today. The entire team was extremely happy to be there and soak in the adulation of the crowd after winning the title in Game 6 at the Boston Celtics’ home arena.

Everyone had their own ways of arriving in style, but Klay Thompson’s arrival was easily responsible for some of the most eyeballs on the day. Klay showed up riding his own boat to the parade but ended up paying for the decision.

As Klay was boating up to the venue, he was sharing his day with fans in general. As a result, the fans saw Klay try to stand up in his boat, something that caused his Warriors’ championship hat to fly away, with Klay replacing the same with a sailor cap that he wore throughout the entire parade.

"I lost my hat!” 😭

The Warriors are the kings of the NBA right now but will be eagerly looking to make their title defense a success next season. Considering the reinforcements some teams will be bringing in the West, the Warriors will have a harder go of it next season. However, their team has a very balanced core that now has chemistry together after this season’s success.

Thompson is a big factor in the Warriors’ re-emerging as NBA Champions. The two seasons he spent rehabbing his injuries saw the Warriors not even make the playoffs, but they win the title his first season back.

This parade has been a blast, but everyone knows that work will start soon. Teams are already making moves to further strengthen their lineups, as the Warriors front office basks in the high of a championship win for a bit. Now that the parade is over, it’s back to work for the front office, who will look to make the right moves to ensure a parade next season as well.
