At this point in the NBA offseason, fans don’t have much to keep them entertained. There are no games on, most of the best free agents are signed, and the Kevin Durant/Kyrie Irving sweepstakes have slowed to a crawl.

So when it was announced yesterday that LeBron James would be suiting up for the Drew League, fans all over the globe got hype and prepared to tune in to witness greatness.

James did not disappoint, as his fingerprints were all over the game. With dunks, threes, and plenty of awesome highlights on both ends, it was a signature showing for Bron that had his name blowing up on social media.

He also posted about it after the game, sharing this photo of himself and DeMar DeRozan, who combined for 72 points in the win.

It was 11 years since James played a Drew League match, and somehow he looked as good as ever. A 37-year-old now, LeBron’s longevity is unprecedented and nobody knows for sure how long he can keep this up.

But he’s doing things now that dudes younger than him are struggling to do on the court, and it has not gone unnoticed.

Speaking on the Old Man And The Three podcast with JJ Redick, Kendrick Perkins spoke about LeBron’s longevity and marveled at what he has been able to achieve during his time in the league.

“He just averaged 30 last year,” said Perkins on LeBron. “Bro, I’m in my second, like, career. We are the same age. He is still playing. Do you realize, 7, 8 years, we’re both going to be eligible for our pension?”

We don’t know why LeBron decided to return to the Drew League after so long. Maybe he wanted to have some fun, or maybe it’s a new part of his off-season workout routine.

Whatever the case, James put on a show for the whole world tonight and it was a perfect reminder of all the things he is still able to do at almost 40 years old.
