LeBron James has revealed his second favorite player of all time and the name might be surprising for a lot of people. The Los Angeles Lakers star posted an Instagram story where he talked about the man in question, the former Orlando Magic and Phoenix Suns star, Anfernee ‘Penny’ Hardaway, one of the most talented point guards the NBA has ever seen.

Bron shared a story reacting to a highlight video of Penny Hardaway playing for Memphis State, the team he coaches at this moment.

Hardaway is considered one of the biggest ‘what if’s’ in NBA history. Injuries were ruthless with his body, altering what could have been a terrific career. He landed in the Magic in 1993, making an instant impact. He later created one of the biggest one-two punch in the association with Shaquille O’Neal, leading the Floridians to the Finals in the 1994/1995 NBA season.

Throughout his career, Penny was a four-time NBA All-Star and two-time All-NBA First Team. He played from 1993 through 2007, averaging 15.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5 assists per outing in 704 games. Even though his career wasn’t as great as everybody expected, Hardaway really made an impression in the generations that came after him, including LeBron, who considers him his second favorite player ever.
