LeBron James sends a cryptic message amid rough stretch of the season.

Lakers superstar LeBron James is doing everything he can to keep the season alive for his team. Over his last five games, he’s averaging 32.4 points on 7.6 assists.

While it hasn’t been enough to generate a winning record for the Lakeshow, it doesn’t seem like LeBron has any plans to slow down. In fact, based on his most recent Twitter activity, he might actually be more locked in than he’s been in a while.

“Fate whispers to the Warrior, You cannot survive the Storm.” The Warrior whispered back, “I am the Storm….”

It’s hard to say for sure what LeBron’s message here is, but we can guess it has something to do with everyone counting the Lakers out. Without Anthony Davis for weeks, or even months, nobody is giving LeBron a chance to carry this Lakers team and he seems to be taking notice of it.

The question is, can he successfully endure this rough stretch and lift the Lakers back into the playoffs? Maybe not, but it’s impressive that a 38-year-old LeBron still even gives them a chance.

LeBron James Explains The Secret To His Longevity In The NBA

It’s really a miracle that LeBron is still an elite player at nearly 40 years old, but it’s also not an accident. As LeBron has stated before, he understands how to take care of himself and is leaning on the knowledge of his own body to keep himself fresh after all these years.

“It hasn’t changed. I’ve just learned more about my body and how to prepare my body,” saud James. “But I’ve been taking care of my body since I started playing basketball. Like, even when I was younger — you can ask any of my best friends growing up — before I went to sleep I would stretch and as soon as I would wake up I would stretch. I was like, 10 years old. In high school, I was one of the few guys that would ice after the game. My rookie year I was icing after the game, as well. But, as I got older and older and older, I started to figure out other ways that I could beat Father Time by putting in more time on my game and on my craft. But mostly on my body and my mind. I feel like if my mind can stay as fresh as it possibly can through a grueling up-and-down NBA season — which it is — then my body is going to be able to try and perform at the highest level.”

Although LeBron’s season is impressive, he shouldn’t have to put up those numbers in the first place. The fact that LeBron, at this stage of his career, is having to carry a losing team on his back is an indictment on the front office and how they’ve mismanaged the roster.

Now, with his back against the wall, there’s nothing else for LeBron to do but keep his head down and try to find ways to win.
