The Los Angeles Lakers put up yet another disappointing performance last night. Playing against a mediocre New Orleans Pelicans team, the Los Angeles Lakers got blown out at their home court. It was a performance that upset a lot of fans in attendance. But one fan may have taken his anger too far, and was subsequently subdued and escorted out by the arena police.

One fan, in particular, was sitting close to the bench and yelling at the players and heckling them. The players did not seem to appreciate being spoken to in the way the fan was. The fan clearly drew a lot of attention to himself, as the arena’s police came to him and arrested him, before then escorting him out of the arena.

Under no circumstances should fans behave in a disrespectful manner towards others, especially the players on the court. So the decision from the Crypto.com Arena’s security to arrest and escort him out is completely understandable. The fan should not have behaved the way he did, and deservedly got removed from the situation.

That isn’t to say that fans are not justified in being upset over the Lakers’ performances. After the game, several Laker fans took to Twitter to air the anger and disappointment over their team’s lackluster showing last night. And Russell Westbrook was among the many Lakers players to get booed from the crowd, although it did not seem to bother him too much.

LeBron James shut down a heckling fan during the game. So frustrations are clearly running high. In fact, Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss even walked out of the game because of how poor the Lakers were performing. The Lakers are in serious jeopardy of missing the playoffs, and even potentially missing the play-in tournament unless they fix their mistakes and start stringing some wins together.
