Mark Cuban Posts Another Encouraging Update On Delonte West’s Recovery

2 Min Read

We’re living in some tough times right now. There aren’t many things to cheer about right now in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially for us basketball fans who’ll still have to wait some months before we get to see the best hoopers on earth take the hardwood again.

That’s why it’s always nice to see that there’s still a lot of good in this world, as Mark Cuban shared another encouraging update on Delonte West, who’s currently in Florida recovering from his recent struggles:

“Because we all want something to feel great about today, here is your Delonte West update. It’s still an uphill battle, but he is climbing!” Mark Cuban wrote on the tweet.

West has struggled with drugs and alcohol abuse for some years now and was even homeless despite earning a lot of money during his playing days in the NBA. Now, finally, he accepted a helping hand when Mark Cuban reached out to him in Dallas.

The NBPA and some of his former teammates had reportedly reached out to him in the past to try and provide the assistance he needed but they had been unsuccessful until now.

More than that, West has allegedly also suffered from bipolar disorder, which has only made his recovery process even harder. Gladly, it seems like he’s finally ready and eager to turn his life around.

Hopefully, Delonte West will get his life back on track in no time and this will only be a distant memory a couple of years from now, as no one deserves to go through what he’s been through, regardless of the circumstances.
