Michael Jordan, in just a few short years after entering the NBA, became one of the most recognizable names in the world. Jordan was a superstar and was considered by many to be the face of the league.

With the level of popularity Jordan had, a lot of brands made deals with him in order to get His Airness to endorse their products as a brand ambassador. One brand that secured MJ’s endorsement was Chevrolet, who cast him in a hilarious commercial for one of their cars.

Michael Jordan starred in a commercial for the Chevy Blazer, one of Chevrolet’s premier cars. In the commercial, Jordan is driving the car, while a spokesperson asks him about how he likes it.

The spokesperson then explained how the Blazer has been changed since the previous model, then asked Jordan about his recent career change. When Jordan told him he was now a baseball player, the spokesperson was confused, to which Jordan hilariously remarked that it was America’s favorite pastime.

Spokesperson: “So Michael, what do you think about the new design?”

Michael Jordan: “Brian, I love it, you know Blazer and I go back a long way, it’s like we’ve grown up together.”

Spokesperson: “And you’ve both gone through a lot of changes lately, the Blazer has been completely redesigned from the inside out. And you’ve had a career change?”

Michael Jordan: “Yeah, I play baseball now.”

Spokesperson: “Baseball?”

Michael Jordan: “America’s pastime?”

Spokesperson: “Oh yes, I remember now!”

Given how big of a name he was, Michael Jordan starred in several commercials. He and Charles Barkley took part in a Nike commercial in 1994, a few months after Michael Jordan had retired. MJ also starred in a McDonald’s commercial with Larry Bird, with the two competing over McDonald’s breakfast.

But one of Jordan’s best commercials is the one where he explains his secret to success, sharing all the failures he has experienced in his career. MJ was arguably one of the biggest stars in the world at the time, so his presence in so many commercials is hardly a surprise.
