NBA Executives Predict That Bronny James Will Be A Second Round Pick, But Teams Could Draft Him To Land LeBron James

NBA Executives Predict That Bronny James Will Be A Second Round Pick, But Teams Could Draft Him To Land LeBron James

Ever since LeBron James announced that he would like to spend his last year playing alongside his son Bronny when he makes it to the NBA, there has been tons of speculation about what franchise that might end up being with. However, while LeBron may still be performing at a very high level, he's likely to play only one season with his son before he retires and calls an end to an incredible career.

That means teams will have to think about how good Bronny is on his own and not just base where the younger James is picked on the premise of getting LeBron for a season. Bronny's career is being watched with great interest across the league as plays in high school and it seems that some executives in the league aren't that high on him as a prospect (via Bleacher Report).

"Having polled several executives, Bronny James probably projects to be a second-round pick at this point, though it's too early to say with any certainty. A team could reach for the son to lure the father."

Bronny has already dealt with some injury issues, having suffered damage to his meniscus that has slowed his acceleration as he continues to try and make an impact. He will not be eligible for the draft till 2024 though, so he still has 2 years to work on his game and take the leap to become a certain first-round pick.

In any case, the prospect of having LeBron, even if it is at the end of his career is tempting enough for teams to not let Bronny fall too far below in the draft unless something goes quite wrong for the youngster. How he will react to being on the same team as his legendary father also remains to be seen and this definitely will be a story to pay attention to over the coming years.
